Mai Savanh Lao was established in Vientiane Lao PDR in 2005. It grew out of an aid project aiming to generate sustainable income for underprivileged families in remote areas, doing what they have been doing for generations, from silk farming to weaving beautiful scarves.

Through these activities silk farmers and weavers will have good and stable income, giving them a better quality of life.
