Silk Production

In the past the Silk Road was the most important communication channel between China and the western World.  Today China with a yearly production of over 60’000 tones of raw silk is still the world leader.

Laos to the south of China has a long silk tradition too. Mai Savanh Lao works with local farmers training them to become high quality cocoon producers. Our production target in the next ten years is 10 tons of quality raw silk.
